Was a former student. Could be the same as ID P47821. Graduated from UVa in '28. Became a lawyer and attended the VA Constitutional Convention. Opposed Secession, unlike the rest of his family. Survived war and served as Rector of UVA from 65-66. Served on Supreme Court of Appeals and the District Court in VA. (Fact checked this as well as possible- was VERY difficult to find primary source information.)
