Name source note

According to a website on the Battle of Gettysburg, Archer was "the first general officer of the Army of Northern Virginia to be captured in the war", meaning Colonel Fry (formerly of the 13th Alabama Infantry) took over the brigade. At one point, the brigade was so depleted in numbers, it combined temporarily with Brockenbrough's Brigade (which had also suffered great losses). (Appears it is the same Brockenbrough as our ID: P47181.) Information from website "The Battle of Gettysburg".
