Rear of Pavilions VI and VIII, pre-garden restoration
Description:
This Holsinger photograph from 1914 shows the rear of Pavilion VI and Pavilion VIII prior to the garden restorations of the mid-20th century. On the far right of the photograph by Pavilion VI, the edge of a building that is likely "Structure 1" (a detached kitchen built for Pavilion VI in 1831) can be seen, which has since been demolished. The rear porches on both Pavilion VI and VIII have significantly changed from what is seen in this photograph as well.
