This photograph is one of two in the UVA Library Digital Repository that shows Jefferson's parapet on the roof of Pavilion III. This photograph probably dates to the 1880s, as the parapet appears to have been removed by 1892. Professor Holmes and Colonel Venable are in the group posing out front.
