Willis (last name unknown), adult male, is mentioned twice in the Proctor's Daybook in 1822 and 1823. A September 25, 1822 entry states, "To John Kelly (P47031) for hire of Willis this present year $70.00"; a February 24, 1823 entry states, "Labour Acct. draft to bills payable for hire of Negroes to John Kelly Proctor's bond for hire Willis this year $70.00."
