JUEL ID/KEY: P47099
Stephen (last name unknown), male adult, is mentioned once in the Proctor's Daybook as being hired out to the university by owner Charles Poindexter (P47090). A January 4, 1825 entry noted, "Labour acct. draft to Bills Payable to C. Poindexter for hire of Moses (P47096), Reubin (P47097), Ben (P47095), Wyatt (P47100) & Stephen (P47099) $250 - bonded." Another slave hired out by Poindexter in this time period was Prince (P47098).
