• January 1, 1824: "Paid John Douglass for hire of John Edward $60.00."
• January 4, 1825: "Labour acct. draft to Bills Payable to John Douglass for hire of John Ed. $60.00"
• January 8, 1826: "Sundries with Bills Payable Labour acct. draft of J. Douglass John Edw. $.50 Bonded."
