JUEL ID/KEY: P47316
Nelson Barksdale, Albemarle county resident, is mentioned several times in the Proctor's Daybook, in entries that describe his role as overseer. A typical entry is one from October 30, 1822: "Sundries to N. Barksdale Labour acct. for hire of Laborers 1819 - of Nunn (P47527), Boxley (P46994), etc. 11.91$" (October 30, 1822).
