JUEL ID/KEY: P47936

Randall (last name unknown), male child. Owned by Miss Elizabeth G. Hill (P47935), Randall is named in two items in the John Staige Davis Papers: "List of Miss EG Hill's Servants" (January 13, 1862) and "Deed of Sale of Agnes to John Staige Davis" (August 14, 1862). In the former, Randall is listed under Albemarle County, VA (PL5392), age 5, one of 29 slaves total. In the latter, Hill deeds to faculty member Davis (P43680) the slave Agnes (P47934), "about 26," as well as her four children: Randall "aged 6 years" (P47936), Peggy "aged 4 years" (P47937), Jarratt "aged 2 and a half years" (P47938), and an infant boy anon0060 "aged eight months" (P47939).
