Claiborne, adult male (last name unknown). He is described as a "negro slave" in a bill of sale dated January 21, 1858: "Received of J. S. Davis (P43680two hundred dollars being in full for the purchase of a negro slave named Claiborne the right & title of said slave I warrant and defend against the claims of all persons whatsoever, and likewise warrant him sound and healthy."
