Tom, male (last name unknown). Owned by Richard Sandridge (P47067), he is mentioned in three entries in the Proctor's Daybook.

  • January 1, 1824: "To Richard Sandridge for hire of tom 50$"
  • July 18, 1825: "Bills Payable to Rd. Sandridge for hire of Tom 31.00$"
  • September 8, 1825: "Labour acct. draft to Bills Payable. . .on bond to R. Sandridge for hire of Tom last year 1.00"

A relation of Richard, Joseph Sandridge (P47065), also hired out slaves to the university in the same time period.
